As part of our Information & Advice and Home Support Services, we can provide older people living across Worcestershire with practical support around keeping warm, especially during the winter months.
This is a free and impartial service and you will be supported by our dedicated, friendly and skilled team of advisors. As part of this service we can support with:
Free home energy checks and installation of energy saving equipment
Our skilled and professional Home Support Team can provide practical advice and support in making your home more energy efficient.
This includes free installation of energy saving items to further reduce your energy usage and costs such as radiator foils, draught excluders, insulation foam, energy saving light bulbs and plenty more.
The free warm homes check is only available to people aged over 60. If you want to be referred please contact reception or you can call 0800 008 6077.
Benefit Entitlement Checks
We can ensure that your household is maximising its income and are receiving all entitled benefits. As part of this, we can complete benefit calculations to identify any potential income and support with any benefit applications. Last year, we identified and supported older adults across the two counties in obtaining over £1 million of unclaimed benefits/income.
Warm Home Discount
The Warm Home Discount is available for those on certain benefits and can result in £150 being deducted from your energy bills. We can provide information and check your eligibility for this scheme to ensure that you are maximising your entitlement to support.
Energy Advice
Our advisors can provide information and advice on a range of different energy related enquiries including practical tips on energy efficiency within the home, information regarding smart meters and signposting to other relevant and appropriate organisations that may be able to support you with your energy related issues.
